Let’s talk about the absolute best time of year for beach family photoshoots: SPRING! ✨ If you’ve been dreaming of those golden, sun-kissed images with the ocean breeze playing in your hair and your little ones giggling as the waves kiss their toes, then spring is your moment to shine!

First of all, let’s talk weather. Spring brings that perfect balance—not too hot, not too cold, but just right! ☀️ Summer can be intense, and we all know that trying to keep little ones happy when they’re sweating in the sun is no easy task. Spring gives us that gorgeous soft light, cooler temps, and just the right amount of warmth to keep everyone comfortable (and happy!). Let's be honest, the only way to try to avoid the heat in the summer is with a sunrise session, which is often at 6:30am, maybe earlier which may lead to grumpy kids (& dads).


And the colors—oh, the colors! 🌼 The beach is coming back to life after winter, with the most stunning pastel skies at sunset. The soft pinks, warm golds, and dreamy purples make for the most breathtaking backdrop. Add in the lush greenery and those gentle turquoise waves, and you’ve got a masterpiece waiting to happen.

Speaking of backdrops, let’s talk about the crowds… or the lack thereof! 😍 Well, or at least a little less. It is Florida and people do vacation here year round, BUT there is definitely less beachgoers to work around in the spring versus the summer. Before the summer rush hits, the beaches are peaceful, leaving us with uninterrupted views and a relaxed, easygoing vibe—perfect for capturing those genuine family moments.


Let’s not forget about wardrobe! 👗 Spring fashion is all about soft, flowy fabrics and light, airy colors that look stunning against the ocean. Think dreamy dresses, linen shirts, and barefoot kiddos running wild and free. No sweaty (yes, we sweat even at sunrise sessions in the summer), sticky discomfort—just natural, effortless beauty.


And can we talk about the energy of spring? 🌸 There’s something so fresh and joyful about this season—the excitement of new beginnings, the warmth returning, and everything just feeling… lighter. It’s the perfect time to celebrate your family, capture your love, and create memories that will last forever.
